The philosophy behind Looking Forward Counseling is that each and every one of our clients strives to be their best self. We serve our community and surrounding areas by offering compassionate care and guidance, helping our clients explore the basis of their challenges and gain the skills necessary to navigate those challenges in a healthy manner, now and in the future.
Long time recovery community member (7 years) with an extensive background in ministry and leadership, Jessie focuses on counseling for members of church leadership and also sees clients facing trauma and substance use recovery. A clinical psychology student at ETSU, Jessie is choosing to do graduate work in both Clinical Counseling and Pastoral Counseling.
Jessie is gifted at helping others set healthy boundaries, recover from addiction through behavior modification offered with compassion and understanding through her lived experience, and working through past trauma. Jessie utilizes tools from Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy.
